Heritage Homes of Petaluma presented Stroke & Kote Painting Company with a Distinctive Restoration award for their meticulous painting of Petaluma’s classic iron-front buildings. The enterprising housepainters’ work represented “a striking addition to downtown Petaluma,” the organization said.
The restored face of Petaluma’s 1870 vintage Opera House was unveiled in a recent ceremony. The eight-color paint scheme, provided by award-winning local firm Stroke & Kote Painting Company, displays the structure’s graceful lines and elegant decorative features to best advantage.
The renovation and revitalization of downtown Petaluma’s business district would not have been possible without the dedicated attention to detail, innovative use of color and skilled workmanship of Stroke & Kote Painting Company.
In a formal ceremony held before more than 175 Petaluma city officials and guests, awards were presented for revitalization of commercial and residential buildings. A Special Recognition award was presented to Gary Doty and Peter Inglis of Stroke & Kote Painting Company for their painting of all the commercial buildings awarded this year.
For the first time in its history, Heritage Homes presented a Distinctive Restoration award to a painting firm. Stroke & Kote Painting Company received the commendation for their multi-colored restoration of classic “iron-front” commercial buildings in downtown Petaluma California.
